We are all heart here

Digg!
Happy Tuesday everyone. I had hope to do a post yesterday to start the exciting give away that I have, but I had to take my baby to the pediatrician so there was no time to blog yesterday. He has had a stuffy nose for two weeks and I thought we should get it checked out. He is fine and they said he sounded good and didn't need an antibiotic. With the heat running so much, I guess that doesn't help. I think I'm starting on a sinus infection.

So, I've decided to hold off on the give away until my Friday post. That way I can give everyone a good amount of time to enter to win.

Today I wanted to share with you some Valentine decorations that I made a few weeks ago. I was invited to a scrapbooking night out. I was feeling very unorganized because I'd been up with the baby a number of nights in a row. So I just threw some of my supplies in a bag. I thought about just playing with some of my supplies to make some Valentine's decorations to spruce up the house and these fun hearts are what I came up with.

As you can see, I made 6 different hearts. I used my die cut machine to make the hearts and cut them at the 5 inch size. You could easily do this even if you don't have a die cut machine.

What I did was glue clothes pins to the back of each of the hearts. That way I could just pin the hearts to the curtains in the bay window of my kitchen. I had bought a pack of google eyes in the craft section of Wal Mart and I used them to make the "eye" heart u hearts. I used a product called Glossy Accents to glue everything down, but I'm sure Elmer's Glue would work great.

I think this would be a great project to do with older kids. I think when my little guy gets older this will be a project we will do together.

As you can see, we have the hearts clipped to my curtains and we also have decorated with window clings. What I love about these decorations is that they were easy to put up and they will be easy to take down. Since these hearts aren't big, they won't take up a lot of space when we put them away for next year.
I hope you enjoy checking out this project. If you decide to make some yourself, I'd love to hear from you or see pictures. Or, if you've got some great Valentine's decorations to share I'd love to see those too.
I hope to get some more posts in this week, but there will definitley be a Fabulous Favorite Friday post where I will reveal the give away I have for you this week. Have a great day!
