Gretchen
Ok, I thought the end of this show was good, but I was so sad. I have really liked Gretchen and was so sad to hear that the guy she was engaged to died of cancer. I am wondering if she was will be back next season with all that going on. I did see that Bravo is going to have a recap on Tuesday night. I can't wait to watch.
Jeana
From watching the show, I have liked Jeana and hope that she is back and that she finds someone nice. It has been interesting to see her in action. She seems genuine, but I wouldn't want to get on her bad side.
Vicki
I think for me the jury is still out on whether or not I like Vicki. I think everyone see's that she and her husband need marriage counseling asap. They both need to learn how to communicate with each other and find a hobby that they can do together. She seems to be a great business woman and kudos to her for all she is doing with that. I do hope she can get some of her family issues resolved. Because with this economy, who knows if her business could tank and family is so imporant.
Tamra
The one word that comes to mind with her is "ick". She is such a sad person. At 40+ she has so much growing up to do. I don't like it that she has been mean and jealous of Gretchen. And her son Ryan is such a screw up. And sheseems to have an interesting relationship with her husband. He is screaming metrosexual. From the commercials for the recap show coming up Tuesday, she looks like she is as confrontational and catty as ever.
Lynne
Lynne. Dear, sweet, clueless, "pothead" Lynne. I thought I would die laughing when the Housewives called her pothead when they first met her. I wish she would parent instead of trying to be the cool mom. It has done her oldest a diservice. And she wonders why she doesn't want to get a job.
If you go to Bravo's website you can see the cuff bracelets she makes. They run $200. You'd have to be smoking some pot to pay that for them. There is something endearing about Lynne. I liked it that she did check up on Gretchen after Tamra's dinner party this season.
Well, those are my thoughts about the Real Housewives of the OC. The Real Housewives of NYC season premiere started last Tuesday so if you are wanted to catch that one the rerun is going to be on Bravo on Tuesday as well as a new episode. Apparently the Countess is going off about something and I'm all about seeing a Countess go off. I'm sure I'll be posting about that show in the future. I'd love to hear if you are watching either of these shows and your thoughts.

I love being able to give stuff away. I feel like the Bob Barker of bloggers. My Fabulous Favorite Friday Picks
Start Sampling
Today I thought I'd pass on a great website I discovered a while ago. I was watching the Today show one day and they had someone on doing a report that mentioned this website where you could go and request free samples of things. The website is http://www.startsampling.com/ I've been getting all kinds of free samples that way. We've tried Orville Redenbocker popcorn, perfume samples, etc. They have a referral program, so if you decide to go and sign up, if you put in bostonterriermommy (all typed together like that) as your referral person I'd appreciate it. I've also recently won a $25 restaurant.com gift certificate by participating in one of their contests. So, their website is a pretty cool thing to check out.
Swag Bucks
I mentioned this in my last post, but thought it was worth mentioning again. I am in love with this site called Swag Bucks. If you follow this link http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=340963 then you can check it out. You get these swagbucks just for using their search engine to search the web. You can redeem them for prizes. I figured why not make my Internet searching work to my benefit.
Deal Seeking Mom
I've just discovered this fabulous blog which gives great tips on freebies and utilizing coupons to the max. She has some great info. and is definitley worth bookmarking. Plus, I have to say I love the retro look of her blog. Such a cool chick! http://www.dealseekingmom.com/
Well, that is all from my neck of the woods. As Walter Cronkite used to say, "And that's the way it is." Hmm, maybe I need my own catchy sign off. I'll be thinking about that. Hope you have a fabulous friday of your own.

Swag
Today I wanted to blog about my new favorite thing, Swag Bucks. This is a way you can earn free stuff when you do Internet searches. You earn swag bucks randomly while searching the Internet through the swag bucks website. It has been a fun way to pass the time, especially if I've got the laptop in front of me at night when I'm watching tv. If you are interested in giving it a try, follow the referral link here. http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=340963
I figured I might as well make my Internet searches work for me. I'm all about free stuff so I figured why not give it a try.
What is up in your neck of the woods?

Don't mess with my coupons!
So, here is my latest thing. Sunday morning I skipped on out (well, not really skipped) but I went out to get the paper out in the driveway. We've been getting the Sunday paper for a while because dh likes to look at the ads and I like clipping out the coupons. We take the paper and go out to breakfast and I'm all psyched up to look at the coupons. Well lo and behold, there were no coupons in the paper this week. Not a one. I was shocked because there is usually a little something. I called the paper and checked to see if perhaps they'd been left out and they confirmed there were none this week. I think I'm in coupon withdrawal. But the guy did say there should be some in this coming Sunday's paper.
It has been fun clipping coupons and seeing how much money I'm saving. I don't have a ton of time to do the expert systems that some folks do, but it has been helpful. I'm also trying to visit a number of websites that give great money saving tips. One of the latest that I've discovered (thanks to my cousin) is Money Saving Money. She has some great info. and I'd suggest you check her out. She posts about great deals you can take advantage of with coupons, but also free samples available out there. Who doesn't love getting a free sample in the mail? http://www.moneysavingmom.com/
So, that is what is going on around here today. If you've got some great money websites you'd like to share, I'd love to hear about them. In these tough economic times, we can all use a little help.

Fabulous Favorite Friday
First, I wanted to announce the winner of the customized Fruit Roll Ups. The lucky winner is Squillen . I hope you enjoy your Fruit Rolls Ups. We've enjoyed giving ours to our friends for Valentine's Day.
And now on to my Fabulous Favorite Friday pick. With winter here, my skin has gotten so dry. So, I've been using Eucerin cream. Changing diapers for two kids requires me to frequently wash my hands through out the day which has severly dried them out. Have a pump bottle of the Eucerin cream by my kitchen sink has helped save my hands.
I first discovered this cream two years ago when Sawyer was born. Bless his heart he has eczema dry patches on his skin. When he was in the NICU, the nurses used this cream on him. It really does help when he has flare ups of severe dry skin. So, if you are having problems with dry winter skin, I'd say give Eucerin cream a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Well, that is all I've got for today. The weather is supposed to go from the high 60's to freezing. I can't wait for spring.

Fabulous Favorite Friday
My Fabulous Favorite Friday pick today is something I'm so excited to be able to also offer as a give away. Yeah, this is a picture of Fruit Roll Ups, but they are not just any fruit roll ups. They are personalized Fruit Rolls Ups.
These are so awesome! I was able to go to the http://www.myfruitrollups.com/ website and order custom fruit roll ups. I opted to order some for Valentine's Day. They are going to go to friends of my little boys and they say "Happy Valentine's Day Love Sawyer & Logan". They have a feature where you can upload a picture and have that put on the fruit roll up. Unfortunately I didn't have a picture of the two boys that I liked enough to put on them. It is hard to get Sawyer to sit still these days.
They package these so well. They have different themes including different birthday themes, Valentine's Day and Graduation. These make such awesome favors for parties or kids.
I remember when Fruit Roll Ups came out when I was a kid, so these would be fun even for an adult as a nostalgia favor for an adult's birthday party.
As I mentioned before, I am so excited that I have a free box to give away. So, here is how it works. The contest will be open from today until next Thursday, February 12th at midnight EST. I am going to put all the names in a hat and draw a name out. You get your name in for posting to this post or any others I do on the blog between now and next Thursday. If you blog about this give away, that will enter your name in again (you need to provide me a link so I can check it out). If you add a link to the Chic Crafty Chick blog on your website (also please provide a link) that will add your name in the hat again. I'll announce the winner in next week's Fabulous Favorite Friday post. Please be sure to include a way for me to get in touch with you if you win.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

We are all heart here
Today I wanted to share with you some Valentine decorations that I made a few weeks ago. I was invited to a scrapbooking night out. I was feeling very unorganized because I'd been up with the baby a number of nights in a row. So I just threw some of my supplies in a bag. I thought about just playing with some of my supplies to make some Valentine's decorations to spruce up the house and these fun hearts are what I came up with.
As you can see, I made 6 different hearts. I used my die cut machine to make the hearts and cut them at the 5 inch size. You could easily do this even if you don't have a die cut machine.
What I did was glue clothes pins to the back of each of the hearts. That way I could just pin the hearts to the curtains in the bay window of my kitchen. I had bought a pack of google eyes in the craft section of Wal Mart and I used them to make the "eye" heart u hearts. I used a product called Glossy Accents to glue everything down, but I'm sure Elmer's Glue would work great.
I think this would be a great project to do with older kids. I think when my little guy gets older this will be a project we will do together.
