Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope you are having a good day. Things have been hectic today. It is always a challenge getting out the door in the morning with two little ones.
I thought I'd put out a post today called Two Tip Tuesday. I want to start sharing tips I've come across that help me out in my every day life. I always love a good tip. I hope to continue having Two Tip Tuesday posts.
Tip #1
The first tip I wanted to share is a cleaning tip for around the house. I heard this somewhere years ago and it really does work. If you have a lot of gunk in your microwave, it helps to cut a lemon in half and put it in a bowl of water. Heat it up for a few minutes, maybe 2 or 3 and just let it sit in the microwave. Something about this helps to loosen the gunk of the microwave and it makes it easier to clean it up.
Tip#2
After you've finished using that lemon in the microwave, you can then put it in your garbage disposal to help deodorize the kitchen sink. I find it easier to cut the lemon into small pieces.
Well, the baby is fussing so it is off to see what we can do to fix that. Have a great day!

Fabulous Favorite Friday
Happy Friday everyone! We are hanging in there and trying to get everyone well here. Sawyer and I both have sinus infections. I can't wait until the mold clears out of here. I think all the rain we've had has not helped our situation. We are ready for some sunshine.
My Fabulous Friday pick today are these cute ducky bags. I picked these up at Walgreen's this week. They have a coupon in their ciruclar that you can get 6 for dollar. I thought these would come in handy since with the rubber ducks they are kind of generic. Wouldn't these make great favor bags for a first birthday party, or just as a special treat for someone? Who doesn't love a cheerful yellow ducky?
I've seen some great deals at Walgreen's lately. If you have one in your area I'd suggest giving their circular a once over.
Next week is April Fool's Day on Wednesday. Let me give you a hint that you'd be foolish not to check back on this blog. There may be another give away in the near future. Hint, hint.
Well, that is all from my neck of the woods. Hope you have a great weekend!

Two Tip Thursday
Howdy folks. This has been the longest week of my life. Sawyer was at the doctor Monday and has a sinus infection. Now I have one and I think Logan is getting one too. My head feels like it is going to explode. I hate the thought of going to the doctor, but I think I will have to break down and go.
I wanted to share with you two little handy tips. My kitchen has a white sink in it which I'm not a big fan of. Over the years it has gotten scratched and it can be a real bear to clean. I discovered one day that putting dish washing detergent (the liquid kind you put in the dishwasher) in the sink and letting it soak for a couple of hours did the trick to bring the sink back to its pearly white look. I don't have a specific brand. A lot of times we buy the big two pack off brand at Sam's but I've used name brands like Cascade and it has worked.
My second tip is one I read in a recent issue of all you magazine. The tip is to take an Armoral wipe that you use on your car dash and to wipe your leather shoes with it and buff. It is supposed to help put a water proof barrier on your shoes. I love this idea.

Drumroll please
How is it Monday already? The weekends seem to go by way too fast. We had a nice weekend, except Sawyer was cranky and clingy with a runny nose on Sunday. I'm not sure if he has a sinus infection or what is going on. Bless his little heart. So, who know what this week will hold.

I have to tell you that I clicked on your site because of your user name--Boston Terrier Mommy! We had a dear Boston Terrier named Larry who we had to put down a year ago after raising him for 11 years. I have a special place in my heart for BT's! And what luck that I've visited your site for the first time when you've got a GIVEAWAY! What a great prize! I definitely need a spa break because I am a mom to three boys. Enough said. I'd really like to try these Fiber One bars; I've tried other flavors, but the chocolate mocha sounds right up my alley. Thanks, and so nice to meet you!
Congratulations ladies! I will be sending you an email to get your contact information. I'm giving y'all one week to respond. If I don't hear back from you, I will be picking another winner.
Well, that is all I have for this Monday. I hope to have some more fun posts this week. I will be taking down my St. Patty's decorations and pulling out the Easter stuff. It is fun to think about what I can do for Easter.
Have a great Monday!

Fabulous Favorite Friday
Happy Friday everyone! It looks like we made it through the winter. Today is the first day of spring. It couldn't have gotten here any sooner. I'm ready for warm winter and for flu and cold season to be over. I've always been a spring/summer person. I love warm weather. It could stay 70 degrees and sunny year round and I'd be happy.
With warm weather right around the corner, I wanted to share with you my new favorite capris. I just got these last week at Old Navy. I loved them so much when I tried them on in the store that I got two pairs of them.
I have to digress for a moment and tell you my good fortune and why I was even shopping last week. Last Thursday I was up late feeding the baby so I tried to get on the Old Navy website they've been updating with their coupons. I found one of their $75 off a $100 purchase coupons and was able to get one. So, I got an awesome little shopping spree for only spending $25. By the way, they've stopped putting these good coupons on their websites for now because people found them so quickly and also their website crashed a couple of times. I'm glad I was blessed to get it while I could.
So, back to the capris. They are called Slim Stretch Capris and they are $15.00. They fit like a dream and they look dressy but are so comfy. I wore one of the pairs out today with a black t-shirt and they looked great and pulled together. I think it is great when you can wear something that doesn't look sloppy, but is still comfortable.
So, that is my Fabulous Favorite Pick for this week. Let me know if you pick up a pair of these or anything else good at Old Navy. I have to say that I've been disappointed with Old Navy over the last year, but I feel like the new things they have out for spring and summer are really great. They stepped it up.
Don't forget to check out the post from Tuesday of this week. Leave a comment on that post to be entered into the contest for one of three Fiber One spa baskets.
Have a fabulous weekend.

Happy St. Patty's Day!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I hope you've got your green on so you won't get pinched. St. Patrick's Day is such a fun day that I've always enjoyed. I may try to find something fun to make for dinner. Maybe some shepherd's pie.
I'm so excited that I have a giveaway for you today. A few weeks ago I received this awesome Fiber One spa basket. We have enjoyed sampling these Fiber One bars in the Chocolate Mocha flavor. They have been a great portable breakfast and are a good source of fiber. My dh has especially liked them. The mocha coffee flavor provides a flavorful kick. It can be hard these days to get fiber into your diet, so these are a great option for reaching those daily goals. I really like the fact that you can grab these and go if you need something quick. These bars are also helpful with keeping your digestive system on track. My mom has irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and eats these to help with that issue.
This spa basket comes with a coupon for a box of the Chocolate Mocha Fiber One bars, a bath pillow, chocolate scented soap, chocolate scented bath crystals, chocolate scented lotion, and a chocolate scent candle. You can retreat to your bathroom and sit back in the tub and enjoy a snack while getting away from it all.
I am so excited for you to get to try this great new product. And, the big news is 3 of you are going to win! In order to be eligible for the giveaway, leave a comment on this post telling me why you need a spa break and if you have a favorite Fiber One product.
I will leave the contest open until Sunday, March 22nd. I'll announce the 3 winners next Monday, March 23rd. So, luck o' the Irish to you today. And if you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, remember to share with me. LOL

Fabulous Favorite Friday
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are having a great Friday. We are about to head out the door for a playdate. The weather is crummy, but we will have a great time with our little friends.
This weeks' Fabulous Friday pick is all you magazine. I just discovered this magazine this week. I picked up a copy at Wal Mart. It was only $2.50. It reminds me of something like Women's Day. It has great tips, fashion, and recipes in it, as well as coupons. The cover shown here is the April issue which hasn't hit the news stands yet. I believe it comes out March 20th. The March cover has a beautiful cake on it.
This is a really cute, cool little magazine. Since magazines can be so expensive, this one is a great deal. Also, in the March issue there is a 50 cent off coupon in the back for purchasing your next issue. I think I'll be picking up April's issue. This magazine is a great value in these crummy economic times. So, it gets the Chic Crafty Chick blog's seal of approval.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Barbie!
Have you heard the news? The Barbie doll turns 50 today. I hope I look that good at 50. LOL I love my boys, but the one thing I am sad about is not having a little girl to play Barbies. But, I plan on playing Barbies with my niece Harper when she is big enough.
Barbies were hands down one of my favorite childhood toys. My sister and I used to have lots of different Barbies and would have hours of fun playing with them. A friend of mine was into Barbies too, so it was fun to go over to her house to play Barbies or have her come to my house. I had the Barbie house that had the elevator that went up and she had the Barbie dream house. She also had the Barbie swimming pool which was so much fun to get to play with.
I remember when I got my Skipper doll. I had to go to the doctor's and they had to run tests and needed blood work. The lady in the lab had a really hard time getting blood from me and had to keep sticking me. I've always had small veins and it is always hard from lab folks to stick me. It freaked me out and I cried and cried. My mom told them we needed a break and she was going to take me out and bring me back. We left and she took me to the store and said I could pick out a Barbie if I'd go back. I had to be about 6 or 7 years old. I decided to pick out a Skipper doll because I didn't have one. That Skipper doll helped me through that icky experience.
I remember my dad fussing when we were kids because no matter how much we would try, a Barbie shoe always seemed to not make it in the clean up box. Now as an adult tripping over kids toys, I have an appreciation for stepping on things like Barbie shoes.
About 9 or 10 years ago I decided I wanted to start collecting Barbie Christmas ornaments. My wonderful husband was able to find me a pink Christmas tree. I have enough ornaments now to pretty well fill up the tree. It is so girly and frou frou and I just love it. I decided this year to not continue buying the ornaments since they take up a lot of space and I pretty much have a lot to fill up the tree. I'll have to post a picture when Christmas comes around.
Do you have any found Barbie memories? I'd love to hear if you do.
Happy Birthday Barbie. You've come a long way baby!

What! Is this a Saturday post?
I never post on Saturday's, but there are two things that merit me posting today. First, today is the day we spring ahead with the time change. So don't forget to change your clocks tonight. It is such a hassel changing all the watches I've got. Oh crap, I just realized I've got to change the clock in my car and I haven't had to do that yet. I guess I'll have to get the owner's manual out.
The second reason I'm posting today is that it is Willard Scott's birthday. Willard is turning 75 today and I think that is so cool. I've actually met Willard Scott about 10 years ago. It was through the job I had at the time. He came and did a spot at the state capitol and I was able to be there when they did the spot. I got to shake his hand. The guy is a nut (I mean that in the nicest way) and very high energy. It was neat to see him working first hand. He is a very nice guy.
Some interesting trivia I found out when I was looking him up on Wikipedia to add a picture of him for this post, Willard Scott is credited with creating the Ronald McDonald character for McDonald's. Apparently he was the first Ronald and appeared in a number of commercials. Wikipedia says they canned him due to his weight. Go figure.
So Happy Birthday Willard Scott. I hope you make it another 25 years so your face can be on the Smucker's Jar. Just think how sweet it is.

Fabulous Favorite Friday
Happy Friday everyone! The sun is shining and the thermometer is going on up. We had snow here on Monday and today I'm wearing capris. You've got to love Mother Nature's sense of humor.
Today my Fabulous Favorite Friday pick are jeans from Old Navy. Right now they've got a sale on them and it is a great time to pick some up. I have to admit I'm a shorty at only 5' 1" and it is hard for me to find jeans. The last time I bought jeans was 2 years ago at Old Navy. I was so sad they didn't have any last year that worked for me. But, I was in last Friday and found these. They are called "The Flirt" and they are mid rise boot cut jeans. They are $19 on sale. Here is a link to check them out. http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=46151&pid=480936&scid=480936002
Here I am modeling them. Just kidding. Don't I wish I looked that good in mine. I love it that Old Navy's jean sizes come in short, regular and long. So, there is something for everyone.
So, if you need to pick up some jeans I'd recommend checking these out.
Here is wishing you a fabulous weekend!

Snow Day!
Well this photo pretty sums up today. It's a snow day! We've had the best snowfall here in the last 24 hours. They said it hasn't snowed like this since 2005.
We got all dressed up and treked out into the white wonderland this morning. The little guy is tuckered out and down for a nap now, but I'm sure it is only a matter of time before he is up and ready to go back out.
Here is wishing you warm thoughts this wintry Monday!
