First let me begin my letting you all know that if you check this blogdaily, (which I hope you will) it is a pretty good bet to wait until after noon EST to check for posts. I usually don't have time to get them together until more like the afternoon time. And, I'm taking Saturday and Sundays off. Just so y'all know.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program...
American Idol
I realized yesterday that I had said I was going to comment on American Idol. Well, the reason I didn't was I forgot to dvr it. So, I got home just in time to see them go through all the clips of everyone who sang. I have to say that everyone was buzzing about Kristy Lee Cook and how her son was awful. I was kind of surprised. As someone who was just watching a clip and didn't hear the whole thing, I didn't think it was that bad. I thought, "Kudos to her" for "making it her own" with the country thing. I know a lot of people were shocked that David Hernandez left last night. I think that the next few they get rid of will be the kind of folks you just shrug your shoulders about. There are some folks (him being one of them) that you knew weren't going to win it. So, they had to go. It's like Howie Mandel on Deal or No Deal. You've got to get rid of some of the cases, even big cases, to get to the million.
I usually hate those cheesy videos that they do for the Ford company, but the one they did last night I loved. I love that song by Cake that they sang and I thought the humorous spin on the elections was great. As Simon would say, "It was spot on."
So, those are my thoughts for this week on American Idol. I will be interested to see what next week brings. Hopefully sweet little David Archuletta can get over his stage fright and won't forget the words. Poor kid. As we say here in the South, "Bless his heart."
Easter Decorations
I thought I would post a few pictures of some of my Easter Decorations. I usually decorate my mantle, kitchen table, and the sofa table. I've collected a few things over the years from different shops. My faux chocolate bunnies I got about 2 years ago. They sold large ones too and I wish I'd bought a big one. They really do look like you could bite an ear off. These two shots are from each side of my mantle.
The hurricanes I have on my mantle are from Southern Living at Home. I love using the eggs in them and I've also used Jelly Beans. Of course it takes a lot and then you have to worry about sneaky husbands stealing them. LOL
The bunny I've got on my sofa table (the white one) makes me laugh because our Boston Terrier, Zoe sits just like that with her paws out. I guess we should name it our Boston Bunny.
As you can see, I was able to pick up a frame yesterday to put my sweet cherub's picture in. No Easter decoration would be complete without that.
Ok, so tomorrow is Friday and that means its Fabulous Favorite Friday's here on the blog. So, be sure to check back and see what I'm listing this week.

Your decorations look adorable. Where did you find those easter eggs in the hurricanes. I love the shimmer they have to them.
