It's a good Good Friday

Digg!
I hope you all are having a good Good Friday. The sun is shining here even though the temperatures have dipped a bit. We have been having some nice play time outside in the afternoon's, so I'm hoping we can get out a bit later today.

And now for the winner...
First, I wanted to say thanks to all who commented on Monday's post. It was great to hear from some new folks, and of course those of you who have already left comments. I used a random number generator and it picked the following:

"How exciting!! I love Starbucks:)Happy St. Patrick's Day!laura.elise.davis@gmail.comThanksLaura"

I have emailed Laura and asked her to provide her contact info. by Monday. If I don't hear from her, I'll pick another winner and post next week.

Some interesting information about the day on which Easter falls....
This is some information that came from my church newsletter and I thought some of you might be interested in it.

"Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox, which is March 20th this year. This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22nd) but that is pretty rare. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier. The next time Easter will be this early (March 23rd) will be the year 228 (220 years from now). The last time it was on March 22nd was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever siee it any earlier than this year."

Pretty cool info, huh?

I think that since it is Good Friday, I'd like to save our Fabulous Favorite Friday picks for next week.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter celebration. We will have family over and do a small Easter egg hunt for Sawyer. I'm putting Goldfish in his eggs since we don't give him candy.

I'm cooking a 21 pound turkey. Wish me luck, I've never cooked a bird that big. It barely fits in my pan. I'm also having Watergate salad, green bean casserole, coconut pie, deviled eggs and yeast rolls. My mother in law is bringing potato salad and corn pudding. My mom is bringing a dessert so we should have a nice spread.

Have a blessed Easter and check back on Monday!
