Happy Monday - Olympic and Random Thoughts

Digg!
Happy Monday everyone. I hope y'all had a nice weekend. I've been up late a number of nights since the Olympics started watching many of the events. The opening and closing cermonies were incredible. I enjoyed the opening ceremony the best out of the two ceremonies. It is crazy to think of that many people in one place.

What neat buildings they created for the Olympics. I enjoyed seeing the Bird's nest with all the fireworks shooting out of it and the Water Cube looked so neat all lit up. It must have been an awesome experience to be able to see those places in person.

I think one of my favorite things for these Olympics is seeing my little guy react to the events on tv. He has been so cute when an event is on and he hears cheering and clapping, he will start clapping too. It is so sweet. He just laughs and grins when I tell him to cheer for our team.

On a totally different note, I've been trying to figure out this whole gestational diabetes thing and the first few days were rough. I've finally got a few things that seem to be working. I had a good blood sugar reading day on Sunday, so that was encouraging. All of the times I checked it, it was within the range they want it to be. It is a real pain right now, but I know it will be worth it for our health. I can't wait for it to all to be over with. I told a friend that once I have this baby and it the gestational diabetes goes away, I'm eating a meal of friend chicken, mac-n-cheese, mashed potatoes, rolls and I'll have a good sweet dessert and a big glass of wine. LOL

Well, that is it for today's post. I hope to have more exciting things going on later this week. It is hard to believe August is almost finished. Have a great day!
